Hosted Point Data Server™


A Hosted Point Data Server™ stores and provides access to your Current and Closed Prospect and Borrower Files, Custom Templates and Cardex Data Base. On Point PDS will maintain and be responsible for all the hardware required by the Calyx® Point® Data Server™ Software. Our servers are optimized with a package of services, modules, and modifications based on years of experience.

This includes:

  • Virus Protection
  • Cement wall to prevent physical attacks
  • Reliable Power with backup
  • Fire and Flood Protected
  • Daily Remote Redundant Back Ups
  • Redundant Internet service

On Site Hosted Point Data Server™ Installation


Remote On Site Calyx® Point® Data Server™ Installation is available. We work with your existing IT personnel to configure and install Calyx® Point® Data Server™ on your existing equipment.

The On Site hosted Point Data Server™ is a server at your location
You maintain the server, power, back ups and Business Class DSL.
If you are interested in using an existing server please see the minimum specs to make sure your server qualifies.
This option is for companies that have invested time and money into a server that meets the minimum requirements.

Some additional considerations should be made when choosing to host your own server On Site:

  • Reliable power
  • Security (Physical and Electronic)
  • Protection from Flood Fire and Theft
  • Reliable internet access with a static IP address
  • Server Battery Backup
  • Offsite data backup
  • IT Personnel to administrate your server

Services we Provide:

Initial PDS™ installation and set up of server (includes up to 5 hours of installation)  
Training of IT personnel to administer stations and assign access controls (included)  
Configuration of Support Personnel Point Client(included)  
Import Data Files/Templates/Custom Forms/Cardex (one time import included)  
Enter PDS™ users and assign them access rights
Remote Clients Setup and connection to PDS™ (includes point installation and upgrade, importing local datafolders)  
User group training of software features (basic how to connect how to open etc)  For more advanced issues and for onsite training we would refer you to our training partner.  
System interfacing (this would include things outside of PDS™ like backups, file permissions between servers, and other consulting)  
Workflow optimization outside PDS™

When the system implementation requires work beyond the standard packages our Professional Services Team will work with each customer to understand their unique business needs and challenges and develop a plan that will address the business needs.
